Trauma Conscious Yoga
in the Salt Room
What is it?
Trauma (big or small) are experiences we hold in our bodies, affecting the nervous system. This is a series of private, gentle yoga classes grounded in choice. Through yoga, meditation, journaling & sound therapy in our Salt Room, these trauma-informed classes offer space to reclaim and befriend your body, specifically to support healing from post-traumatic stress and the challenges that come with it, such as anxiety, depression, or feeling “stuck.”
How to Experience
We offer 2 ways to experience Trauma Conscious Yoga.
With all of our sessions you will need to bring: yoga mat, water, comfortable clothes, journal
4 Week Healing Series
Our most recommended way to experience Trauma Conscious Yoga. Each week, for 90 minutes, you will be given space and guidance to heal and reconnect with your body & spirit.
Each session, you will practice breathwork, meditation, gentle Trauma Conscious Yoga, journaling, and you will end each session with a short crystal bowl sound therapy meditation.
Each week you will focus on a special aspect of this healing process. Trauma, breathwork & Pranayama, mindfulness & meditation, and sound healing.
Contact us if you can not find the date/time you like or would like to add more people to this class (max of 4 people).
Single Session
Similar to our 4-week class series, our single sessions offer you a healing space to reclaim and befriend your body through breathwork, meditation, and gentle Trauma Conscious Yoga, if you don’t have the time for a 4-week series.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
My name is Dawn Walter, and yoga has changed my life. For some people, yoga brings spirituality into their life. For me, it was spirituality that brought yoga into my life. Through mindfulness and movement, I found yoga to be another channel, or connection, to the strength within myself (Spirit, God, Source). As a survivor of PTSD (a 9/11 survivor), I experienced healing and inspiration from my yoga teachers in NY. Following years of struggling with the symptoms of PTSD, I moved to Arizona where I went on to study with yoga and breathwork practitioners at Sedona Hot Yoga, earn my RYT-200, and completed numerous classes and certifications in Trauma Conscious Yoga, meditation, breath work, and Yin. Still inspired by the healing properties of Yoga, I am currently enrolled in a 2-year program to become a Certified Yoga Therapist. Yoga’s gifts, including physical and emotional changes and spiritual awakenings, have brought me to a place where I am inspired to share the gift of yoga with others.
